A man named Salman arrested for unfurling Pakistan’s national flag in UP’s Kushinagar

On Saturday, A man named Salman unfurled Pakistan’s national flag on the terrace of his house in Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar amid the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign launched by the central government.

The video of him hoisting the Pakistani flag on the terrace of his house has gone viral over social media. The incident enraged the local people who immediately informed the police and asked the administration to take strict action, OpIndia reports.

The locals are complaining that Salman had engaged himself in anti-India activities by disrespecting the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign by hoisting the national flag of Pakistan. The Police reaches the spot to verify the complaint and in immediate action asked Salman to remove the flag.

The Police also files a complaint at the Taraya Sujan police station against him in Kushinagar. Reports suggest that the family of the accused had stopped him from hoisting the flag, but to no avail. He did not agree with his family members and went ahead to unfurl the flag.

Additional Superintendent of Police Ritesh Kumar Singh said that Salman has been arrested in the case and is being interrogated in the custody.

“The police are investigating the whole matter. Whoever is guilty in this case will not be spared”, said Kumar.
