After scoring 537 runs in 12 innings of Cooch Behar Trophy in 2012-2013, Jitesh was selected for Vidarbha’s senior team the following year. The 2013 Vijay Hazare Trophy marked Jitesh’s List A debut. In the 2015-16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he was the third most prolific run-scorer. He scored 343 runs at a strike rate of 143.51, including a century and two half-centuries.
