Andrei Tyurin, a Russian hacker is sentenced to 12 years in prison for his role in a global hacking campaign. Along with JP Morgan, there were several other companies whose data and sensitive information was hacked by a group of people in which he was also a member. This is the largest breach of a financial institution ever done in US history.
The hacker accessed several financial institutions, brokerages, and financial news publications like JP Morgan. He committed this sin from his home in Moscow. He worked with many others, who co-conspirators others, who also were a member of such a heinous crime.
He was extradited from Georgia in September 2018 and has been in US custody since then. According to a report shared by US Secret Service he has made around 19 million dollars from his crimes.
