As part of ensuring user security and protection from scam calls and potential risks, Google has further brought the support for AI-powered scam protection on its Pixel Watch devices. To note, this feature is available in the US on Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch 3 smartwatches.

AI-Powered Scam Protection Now on Pixel Watch Devices

The California-based tech maker – Google had already rolled-out the AI-powered scam protection in the US to its Pixel 9 series smartphone users earlier and apart from these devices, it was also made available to older Pixel smartphone users (Pixel 6 and later) who are in the Phone by Google app beta program. On Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch 3 smartwatch models, this AI-powered scam protection feature is now available, enabling users to stay alert from scams and be informed right on the wrist.

Speaking more, to access the feature, users of the Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch 3 devices will have to connect it to a Pixel 9 or newer smartphone model via Bluetooth connectivity and as mentioned, the feature is currently available in US only for calls in English. Also to add, the scam protection feature is not 100% accurate and as scammers often change their tactics, users are always advised to stay cautious and vigilant.

To turn on the AI-powered scam protection feature on the phone, update the Phone app to its latest version > open the Phone app > tap on the three dots icon > select Settings > click on Scam Detection > and enable it.
