Saudi government seizes rainbow-coloured toys in the country!

Saudi Arabia seizes the rainbow-coloured toys and articles of clothing from shops to stop homosexuality.

Mostly, the items included rainbow-coloured bows, skirts, hats and pencil cases. However, most of the items were manufactured for the young children. However, the number of organizations targeted and the number of items seized has not yet been disclosed.

The country’s officials believed that the items is against the Islamic faith and public morals. Consequently, in their opinion, these items promote homosexual colours, targeting the younger generation.

Consequently, homosexuality is considered as a criminal offence in Saudi Arabia as Saudi is known for its strict Islamic sharia law which is the basis of its entire judicial system.Also, a Disney’s animation named ‘Lightyear’ featured a same-sex kiss which also got banned in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi has asked Disney to delete the LGBTQ scenes and references from “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, but Disney denied. Afterwards, film was not screened in Saudi cinemas.
