Galaxy S25 series: One UI 9 Internal testing

According to tipster @tarunvats33, Samsung has started the internal testing of One UI 9 for the Galaxy S25 series. The tipster mentioned that the first internal test build has been spotted, but he was not able to decrypt the build version.

If you recall, last year, the first One UI 8 test build for the Galaxy S24 series was spotted on June 19 on the official server. This means that the One UI 9 is two weeks earlier, suggesting that the company has sped up the internal development mechanism.

With the beginning of the internal testing for the Galaxy S25 series, it is expected that by next month, Samsung may start the beta testing for older flagship models as well. Though it is advisable to wait for official confirmation.

One UI 9 beta update: Features

As previously revealed, the beta update arrives with new features and improvements. New creative tools are being added to Samsung Notes, alongside decorative tapes and a wider variety of pen line styles as well. Furthermore, the Creative Studio can now be accessed directly via the Contacts app itself in order to create personalised profile cards without needing to switch between apps.

There is also a newly updated Quick Panel, and now brightness, sound, and media player controls can each be adjusted independently. Speaking more, Samsung has additionally introduced improved Mouse Key speed support for smoother cursor control, alongside a combined TalkBack package that brings together accessibility features that were previously offered separately by Google and Samsung.

The new Text Spotlight feature has also been introduced, which is capable of displaying selected text in a larger and clearer floating window in order to make reading easier for users.

Regarding security, One UI 9 also introduces enhanced protection against suspicious apps and potential threats. When new high-risk apps are detected, the software will now warn users, block execution and installation, and also recommend deletion through updated security policies.
