Samsung Galaxy A34 5G – One UI 9 Internal Testing Reportedly Begins

As per the details shared by the tipster, a new test firmware carrying the build versions ‘A346EXXUFGZG8/A346EODMFGZG8/A346EXXUFGZG8’ has been spotted on Samsung’s internal test servers. The firmware belongs to the ‘SM-A346E’ model of the Galaxy A34 5G, which is offered across India and several markets in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Speaking more, this is not the first Android 17-based One UI 9 test build spotted for the Galaxy A34 5G. Back in June 2026, the European ‘SM-A346B’ variant of the smartphone had appeared on Samsung’s test servers with the ‘A346BXXUFGZF1’ firmware version.

For those unaware, the Galaxy A34 5G was launched with the Android 13-based One UI 5.1 operating system. Samsung promised four generations of Android OS upgrades and up to five years of security updates for the smartphone. Because of this, Android 17-based One UI 9 will be its fourth and final major operating system upgrade.

The device has already received the Android 14, Android 15, and Android 16 upgrades, and it will continue receiving eligible security updates even after its final major Android update has been rolled out.

Regarding the One UI 9 beta programme, it is currently officially available only for the Galaxy S26 series in select markets, including India, Germany, Korea, Poland, the UK, and the US. Samsung may expand the testing programme to more eligible flagship devices before beginning the wider stable rollout, however, no beta programme has been confirmed for the Galaxy A34 5G.

Samsung generally prioritises its latest flagship and foldable smartphones for major software updates before expanding the rollout to older flagship, Galaxy A, Galaxy F, and Galaxy M-series devices. Because of this, the Galaxy A34 5G may receive the stable One UI 9 update at a later stage of the rollout.

At this time, Samsung has not officially revealed the One UI 9 rollout timeline for the Galaxy A34 5G. However, the appearance of the internal test firmware suggests that development for the device has already begun.

Stay tuned for more updates!
