OnePlus Rolls Out First OxygenOS Update for N Series Smartphone in India, Nord CE6 Gets June 2026 Patch

Previously, OnePlus had brought its first N series smartphone, the OnePlus N6, to the Indian market and now, the brand has released its very first OxygenOS-based update for the device in the India region. This OxygenOS 16.0.5.1031 update, as of writing this article, is currently being rolled out with the version number “CPH2955_16.0.5.1031(EX01)”.

OnePlus N6 Smartphone – First OxygenOS Update Released in India
Speaking of what is there in this update, it brings improvements to system and network stability, along with improving the image quality as well. Furthermore, it also fixes an issue where users had complained about images appearing to be noisy. Notably, although we are in July, the update does not bring any security patch with it.

As with all updates, this is also a phased rollout and it will be rolled out to all eligible devices within a week or two. So far, no issues as such have been reported with this update, well this could also be because it has only been a day since the rollout started.
OnePlus Nord CE6 – OxygenOS 16.0.5.1001 Update
Looking into other updates, OnePlus Nord CE6 users in India will also be getting a new OxygenOS update and this update comes with the June 2026 security patch. This OxygenOS 16.0.5.1001 update is currently in the rollout phase as well, and just like the above update, it will take a week or two for it to be rolled out completely.

Coming to what the update brings, the Weather app has now been updated to show moonrise, moonset, and lunar phases on its homepage. In addition to this, in Outdoor Mode, users can now pin their favourite apps, allowing them to switch between them easily. Additionally, camera and system stability improvements have also been brought with this update.
