OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R – ColorOS Closed Beta Recruitment Announced
The Closed Beta recruitment is for the upcoming Android 17-based ColorOS 17 update, and the applications for both smartphones will remain open from the 6th to the 7th of August 2026. So if you try to submit after today, well, you may not be able to do so.
OnePlus is recruiting 300 users each for the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R Closed Beta programmes. For OnePlus 15, you must be on CPH2745_16.0.9.400(EX01), and for OnePlus 5R you should be on CPH2767_16.0.9.401(EX01), in order to be eligible for the Closed Beta Programme.
How to Apply
Eligible users can apply for the Closed Beta programme by following the steps given below:
- Open Settings and navigate to About device.
- Tap Up to date.
- Select the icon located in the top-right corner.
- Tap Beta program and follow the instructions shown on the screen to submit the application.
- Once an application has been approved, users can navigate to Settings > About device and tap Download Now to download and install the Closed Beta update.
Applicants may see different review statuses after completing the registration process. If the status appears as To be Answered, users must sign up for the Closed Beta Testing activity and complete the required questionnaire.
Why ColorOS Instead of OxygenOS?
For those wondering why the programme refers to ColorOS instead of OxygenOS, well its because OPPO recently confirmed that devices across the BBK brands will transition to ColorOS starting with the upcoming Android 17 update. This means that OxygenOS and realme UI will no longer be used for future major operating-system versions.
However, devices that are currently running OxygenOS or realme UI will continue receiving regular software and security updates according to their respective update policies.
Since this is a Closed Beta build, it is intended for testing purposes and may contain bugs or stability-related issues; therefore, you should review the programme requirements before applying.
Stay tuned for more updates!
