One UI 8.5 brings a new Create menu in the Gallery app, redesigned Favorite Contacts UI and more

The South Korean tech giant Samsung is said to be currently working on its latest custom skin, One UI 8.5, and previous reports have revealed various upgrades that users will get to see in the upcoming upgrade. Tipster @tarunvats33 has once again shared a few more changes that are spotted in the One UI 8.5 latest build.

The Gallery app in One UI 8.5 gets a new Create menu bar with a subtle blur effect. This new bar can be seen during multi-image selection.

One UI 8.5’s latest build has redesigned the Favorite Contacts UI in the contact app. It features card-style layouts with circular profile photo overlays.

In One UI 8.5 (YJH), the search bar animation looks smooth, though the tipster mentions that the swipe-back is still not polished.

Looking into previous updates concerning Samsung’s One UI 8.5 custom skin, refreshed battery graph UI, new album art transition effect in the media player, adaptive clock, weather effect, floating search bar, bold status bar icon, new software update download page, system-wide 3D app icons, Weather app with new gradient coloring, redesigned menus, Expanded Dark Theme, Forced App Icon Theming, Lock Screen Widgets with third party support, Native Step Tracking via Health Connect, Granular Haptic Feedback Control, and PDF Annotation and Editing were all revealed earlier.

Samsung is expected to unveil its flagship Galaxy S26 series early next year in the global market, and it is expected that One UI 8.5 will be introduced with this series.
