Google Pixel August 2026 Update Brings Gaming Crash, GPU Performance and Touch Fixes for Pixel 10 Series

A few days back, Google officially announced the rollout of its August 2026 software update for several eligible Pixel smartphones. Along with the latest security improvements, Google has also shared a few bug fixes and performance improvements specifically for the Pixel 10 series devices. The update is being rolled out in phases, so availability may vary depending on the device and carrier.

Google Pixel August 2026 Update Brings Bug Fixes for Pixel 10 Series

According to Google’s official changelog, the August 2026 update brings a fix for an issue that could cause certain gaming apps to crash under certain conditions. This particular fix is applicable to the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and Pixel 10a.

Apart from this, Google has also included general improvements for GPU performance under certain conditions. However, this improvement is limited to the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Lastly, the update fixes an issue that could cause the touch panel to become unresponsive under certain conditions. This fix is available for the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and Pixel 10a.

For global variants, Google is rolling out the update with the CP2A.260805.005 build number across the supported Pixel 8, Pixel 9, and Pixel 10 series devices.
