Google Search Price Filter Option in Tests

We the team at The Tech Outlook have found out that Google is testing a new Price Filter option in Google Search. From the below screengrabs, it can be understood that the feature is still in the testing phase and it might take some time for it to be made available. However, an idea about how it would look like and how it will work can be deduced.

Google is testing the Price Filter option in Google Search

If a user is planning to buy something, for example, a smartphone from a particular brand (in this case Motorola), he or she can simply search for it in Google Search. A large number of search results consisting of different smartphones launched by the brand, be it new or old, flagship or midrange, a performance device or budget device will be shown. With some selective filters like 5G or 4G network connectivity, 32GB or 64GB storage, and others, the user will be able to select some of the features he/she wants in the device. However, the devices shown may not be in the required price segment that the user needs.

With the help of this new Price Filter option that is being tested, the user will be able to narrow down the search result by adjusting the price toggle pointer to the highest price till they are comfortable with it. On pressing the apply button, the needed search results will be displayed. It can also be assumed that probably a lowest price toggle pointer might also be added later.

So far, there have been no words from Google regarding this new price filter feature in Google Search, nor have they provided any information about the launch timeline.
