Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Junn recently delivered his Annual Speech 2023 to the World. During his speech at the Xiaomi Launch 2023 event, Lei Junn mentioned the new bio-inspired quadruped Xiaomi CyberDog 2 which was also showcased in the event. CyberDog 2 is a robot dog by Xiaomi, which is a successor to the Xiaomi CyberDog introduced in the year 2021. The CyberDog 2 is now available for purchase in China on the Xiaomi China website for a price of CNY 12,999 which is about Rs 1,48, 810.
Xiaomi has asserted that the CyberDog 2 has sight and sound access. Along with it, it can also sense a person’s presence.
Some of the features that incorporate life into the CyberDog 2 are as follows.
First of all, CyberDog 2 functions on Xiaomi multimodal AI, which is further supported by a Fusion sensing and decision-making system.
The brain of the CyberDog 2 processes on NX Processor, along with two secondary brains powered by Dual co-processors.
The CyberDog 2’s vision works on a Depth camera module by Intel RealsenseTM D430. It consists of an Interactive AI camera of 13 MP, an RGB camera of 1MP, and a Fisheye camera of 146-degree FoV.
For its hearing, the robot is featured with a 4-mic array, Xiaomi AI voice algorithm.
The robot also has open-source programming facilities with open-source ID diagrams, open-source features, and visual programming. It has access to more than 100 + open-source interfaces.
The robot is capable of maneuvering precise and unparalleled robotics with its ‘Merging Micro-Actuator CyberGear’. This offers precise control and super responsive peak torque response, ultimately making the robot showcase excellent robotics.
