Temple wearable: Pre-orders started

Interested consumers can place an order at temple.com or from the app at temple.com/app. The device is listed in four colour options: True Gold, Rose Gold, Dark Mirror and Deep Blue. It is priced at Rs 85,000. The website mentions that delivery is expected in about three months.

Buyers will get lifetime subscription access to all app features, device replacements at a nominal fee for life, personal onboarding, lifetime supply of grips, and a charging pod.

What is Temple?

Temple is a small golden device that is worn on the temple, where thin tissue, highly vascularized fascia, the superficial temporal artery, and dense autonomic regulation of skin blood flow create a cleaner, richer signal and a deeper window into human physiology.

Its main technology is called BrainFlow. Using optical sensors, the device tracks changes in cerebral blood flow, or the movement of blood through the brain. It also monitors signals associated with brain oxygenation and cognitive load. The idea is to help users understand how their bodies respond to stress, exercise and recovery.

Temple offers an Entropy score ranging from 1 to 250. This score is designed to indicate physiological strain. Do note that the device is designed for wellness and research purposes and cannot be a replacement for medical tests.
