Xiaomi MIX Fold 3’s first teaser has been released in China. It will break cover in August as a successor to the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, which debuted in the same month last year. The first teaser has confirmed a few details about the device.
Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 design teased
Xiaomi has confirmed that the MIX Fold 3 will have a thin and lightweight chassis. To recall, the MIX Fold 2 weighs 262 grams. Hence, it remains to be seen whether Fold 3 will weigh below 250 grams.
In addition, the company confirmed that it will be equipped with a Leica-optimised quad-camera system. As per reports, the device will arrive with a Sony IMX800 primary camera, an ultra-wide lens, a telephoto snapper with 3.2x optical zoom, and a periscope telephoto camera with up to 10x optical zoom.
The MIX Fold 3 is said to run on Android 13, which will be overlaid with a foldable-optimized MIUI Fold 14.1. The device is said to be powered by the 3.36GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM. It may offer up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage and a 4,800mAh battery with 67W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will have an 8.02-inch foldable AMOLED QHD+ 120Hz display and a 6.56-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz cover screen. The internal display is said to be integrated with an under-display camera. The MIX Fold 3 is also expected to have an IP rating for dust and water resistance. For better durability, it is said to be equipped with a new waterdrop-style hinge.
