Vivo Y78m spotted on Google Play Supported devices list

As we previously reported earlier today, a new 5G smartphone from Vivo with the model number V2278A was announced, but we were not aware of its marketing name at that time. However, thanks to the keen observation of The Tech Outlook team, who first spotted this device on the list of Google Play-supported devices, we now know its marketing name.

Previously, model number V2278A appeared on the 3C certification website, which revealed that the upcoming smartphone will feature 44W fast charging and 5G connectivity. However, no further details were provided in the listing.

Now, the Vivo Y78 series will consist of three members: the Vivo Y78 5G, Vivo Y78+ 5G, and Vivo Y78m/Vivo Y78.

Let’s recap everything now

The Vivo Y78+ smartphone was recently spotted on Geekbench, which provided insight into some of its key specifications.

According to the Geekbench listing, the upcoming smartphone will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset running on the Android 13-based operating system. The listing also showcased the device’s 12GB RAM variant, indicating that other RAM options may also be available.

The chipset architecture comprises 2 primary cores and 6 secondary cores, with the former operating at a speed of 2.21GHz and the latter clocked at 1.80GHz.

Previously, the design of the Vivo Y78+ was revealed in a report, and the Vivo Y78 also made an appearance on the Google Play Supported Devices List.
