Nubia, the consumer electronics manufacturer based in China, has officially announced its first-ever foldable smartphone. This device is confirmed to make its debut at the upcoming MWC 2024 event and is going to be the brand’s first foldable device.

Nubia Flip 5G – Launching on February 26th
Nubia’s first foldable device with a flip form factor design – the Nubia Flip 5G will be unveiled globally on the 26th of February 2024, at the MWC 2024 event, venue – 3F30, Hall 3, Fira Gran Via, Barcelona. The poster image shared also reveals the design of this flip smartphone.
It is understood that the smartphone will be having symmetrical bezels around its inner display, as well as a centrally-aligned punch-hole selfie camera. The secondary display is circular in shape, and is placed inside the camera module which is again circular. A dual camera unit is present at the rear, and the LED flashlight is placed outside the camera module. The volume rocker and the power button cum fingerprint scanner are at the right side panel. The microphone hole, USB type-C charging port, and speaker grilles are given at the bottom. The card tray is on the left side panel, whereas an additional microphone is present at the top. Notably, there are antenna lines too along the sides.

In related news, this device a few days back was spotted on the 3C certification database with the model number – NX724J and was revealed to come with a 33W charging adapter. It has also been listed on the IMEI database as well.
ZTE had recently launched the brand’s Libero Flip smartphone and from what it appears, the Nubia Flip 5G could be a rebranded version of this device for the global market. With more future updates, we’ll be able to confirm it.
