ZTE, a Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, has unveiled a new flip smartphone device for its Japanese customers. The pre-bookings for the latest device are already live and the official sale will be commencing this month itself.

ZTE Libero Flip Unveiled in Japan
ZTE’s Libero Flip smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and has the Android 13 operating system out of the box. It is also coupled with a RAM of 6GB and internal storage of 128GB.
The inner display is 6.9″ large, while the cover display has a screen size of 1.43″. The two are OLED display panels. The inner display supports a FHD+ resolution of 2790×1188 pixels. On the other hand, the cover display has a 466×466 pixels resolution.
For the cameras, at the rear there is a 50MP(main) + 2MP(depth) dual camera unit given, whereas for selfies there is a 16MP front-facing camera.
The battery has a capacity of 4310 mAh (typical, rated value – 4180 mAh), and the charging time is claimed to be 73 minutes. It also has a USB type-C charging port.
Other specs include 5G network connectivity, nano SIM/eSIM support, Wi-Fi IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax with 2.4GHz, 5GHz, & 6GHz bandwidth support, Bluetooth 5.2, IPX2-rated waterproof & IP4X-rated dustproof body, face recognition, fingerprint scanner, 7.3 mm thickness (closed – 15.5mm), and 214 gm weight.
Price and Availability
The newly introduced ZTE Libero Flip smartphone is priced 39,800 YEN in Japan. If purchased online, customers can also avail a discount of up to 23,200 YEN. As of now, the pre-reservation for the smartphone has begun and the official sale will start on the 29th of February 2024. Three color choices will also be provided and customers will be able to choose from Gold, White, and Blue colors.
