Motorola’s New Edge Smartphone to Feature Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Processor: Officially Confirmed

As earlier revealed, Motorola is said to unveil a new Edge 50 series smartphone next month in the Indian market and following its teaser video, the brand has officially revealed its processor.

Here’s more about it.

Motorola New Edge 50 Series Smartphone – Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Processor

This update has been shared officially via Motorola’s Indian Twitter/X handle and as per what has been revealed, the upcoming Edge 50 series smartphone that will be having its debut on the 3rd of April 2024 will be coming equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. The brand has again tried to re-iterate the tagline of the device by mentioning “It’s intelligent and it’s artistic”.

With the processor being revealed, this news does raise some doubts and concerns regarding which smartphone is to be unveiled at the upcoming event. At first, speculations were that it is the Edge 50 Pro smartphone that might be released early next month. Its BIS and other certifications, including the leaked renders reaffirmed this possibility. However, at the same time, the Edge 50 Pro is also being claimed to be rebranded as the Moto X50 Ultra for the Chinese market (Edge 2024 for US), and this device is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

On the other hand, it was also reported that an Edge 50 Fusion device is also in the works, but again it is suggested to have a different processor. This Motorola smartphone was tipped to be codenamed “Cusco” and its expected specifications states it to use the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset.

Probably, we’ll have to wait until more updates arrive from the brand’s side to confirm which Motorola Edge 50-series device is to be launched next month in India. Do stay tuned until then.
