Huawei Might Become the First Global Smartphone Brand to Adopt Stacked CIS: Speculates Analyst

Huawei, a Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, has made its comeback with new smartphone devices and now, a market analyst points out that the brand could be the first to have adopted Stacked CIS(CMOS Image Sensor) on its smartphone devices, before Apple.

Here’s more about it.

Huawei – The First to Use Stacked CIS?

Huawei introduced three new smartphones in the Chinese market very recently and all the newly launched smartphones have a CMOS main camera. Ming-Chi Kuo, a market analyst, speculates that Huawei might become the first global smartphone manufacturer to use Stacked CIS, even before Apple, if there is no US ban on the brand.

Previously, Ming-Chi Kuo had suggested that the upcoming iPhone 16 series devices are expected to come with the Stacked CIS design, and the soon-to-be-launched iPhone 15 series standard devices, the Apple iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, are to be the first Apple iPhones to bring this.

The Huawei Mate 60, Mate 60 Pro, and Mate 60 Pro+ devices are the newly launched smartphone devices from Huawei, and as of now, they have only been launched in China.

Regarding the Apple iPhone 15 series, the smartphones are now confirmed to be unveiled at the special event that the brand is going to conduct this month, on the 12th of September 2023. Many other announcements are also expected from Apple’s side and this includes the announcements about three new smartwatches, AirPods Pro 2 with USB type-C port, and also about the iOS 17 & watchOS 10 operating systems.

Some of the exciting features that Apple’s iPhone 15 series devices will have are the USB type-C charging port, Dynamic Island, customizable action button, and many more.
