Ola made a big change, drivers will no longer ask before the ride – where to go? Or how will you pay?

Ola is one of the largest companies in India providing taxis and cabs to passengers through online medium. It was established in 2010. After its establishment, it started its services in many countries of the world. In recent times, Ola has about 25,000 registered vehicles in Delhi-NCR.

Ola on Tuesday announced a new feature in the app for its drivers, in which the company will be able to see its driver’s estimated drop location and payment mode of the ride even before availing the cab booking service. The company estimates that this will reduce the cases of cancellation of bookings through the driver. Along with this, passengers will also get rid of repeated bookings.

Ola co-founder Bhavish Agarwal tweeted on Tuesday that Ola is now committed to a comprehensive fix to reduce the problem of frequent cancellations. He further added that “The second most asked question to me is why does my driver cancel my Ola ride? We are taking steps to correct this problem. Ola drivers are no longer allowed to take bookings of passengers. First approx drop location and payment mode will appear. This is done with the aim to enable drivers to take or book passengers. This is the solution to the problem.

Online taxi booking services companies like Ola and Uber often face cancellations due to non-display of drop location and payment mode, demand from drivers to collect payment either against passenger’s drop location or driver’s will. Does matter. Their cancellation often causes the passengers to reach the location late. Due to which the trouble for the passengers increases further.

Online taxi booking service companies charge a percentage of the fare as commission from the driver partners for every trip booked through the application. However, for the past few days, a section of drivers have complained that their earnings have been reduced due to this.
