Mahindra Scorpio-N Revealed; India Release Mahindra also released photos of the new Mahindra Scorpio-N on June 27

Mahindra has named its new Mahindra Scorpio SUV the Mahindra Scorpio-N, which will debut in India on June 27. We previously reported on this, and now the Indian automaker has confirmed the price reveal date. In addition, the business has released photos of the new Mahindra Scorpio-N, offering additional details about the new SUV. In addition, the existing version of Mahindra Scorpio will be renamed Mahindra Scorpio Classic and will continue to be sold.

The new Mahindra Scorpio-N will be available with a choice of petrol or diesel engines, manual or automatic gearboxes, and 4×4 capability.

“Scorpio has been a historic model for Mahindra, which has reinvented the category and become an iconic brand in the Indian vehicle sector,” said Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd. In India, the All-New Scorpio-N is likely to set new standards in the SUV segment. We continue to carry forth the Mahindra legacy of developing real, tough yet smart SUVs with an unmissable design, exhilarating performance, and high-end technology.”

The new Mahindra Scorpio N, codenamed Z101, is based on a new body-on-frame platform and will have current features and cutting-edge technology, as well as a fresh exterior and interior design. The new Mahindra Scorpio-N has a striking exterior based on the same boxy design as the previous model. Unlike the Mahindra XUV700, the new Mahindra Scorpio-N has a new grille with six slats and the new Mahindra logo in the centre, below which is a honeycomb mesh for the air dams. Both the LED twin-pod projector headlights and the C-shaped LED fog lights are new to the Scorpio-N.

Strong lines on the hood emphasise the SUV’s posture. At the front, as well as on the side of the door handles, there’s a subtle splash of chrome. The SUV’s overall tough appearance is enhanced by the black cladding and silver highlights, while the chrome accents on the beltline offer a sense of premiumness. On 18-inch alloy wheels, the new Mahindra Scorpio-N rides.

The interior of the new Mahindra Scorpio-N is still a mystery, but spy images show that the entire layout has been upgraded and now includes quality components to boost its appeal in the compact SUV sector.

Expect the new Mahindra Scorpio to come equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system, a new instrument cluster with a coloured central MID, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, dual-zone auto climate control, auto-dimming IRVMs, power-adjustable driver’s seats, 360-degree camera view, a large panoramic sunroof, and Adrenox Connected car tech, among other features. The 2019 Mahindra Scorpio-middle N’s row will have individual bucket seats, with a front-facing third row and some additional equipment on board, according to the latest cabin pictures. Expect an electric sunroof as well.
