ISRO is calling all students to join Human Spaceflight Expo program to celebrate India’s space exploration

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is calling the students to join their “Human Spaceflight Expo” at the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium in Bengaluru on July 22-24, 2022. The Human Spaceflight Expo program will be organized by ISRO’s Human Space Flight Centre to celebrate the Indian space center’s advancement in human space exploration since Independence.

ISRO tweeted on their account regarding the event saying, “ISRO’s Human Space Flight Centre has organized ‘Human Spaceflight Expo’ at the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, Bengaluru during July 22-24, 2022, as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Schools may register the students by 5 pm on July 15, 2022.”

This will be a 3-day event at Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium with exciting events, a series of live lectures, and interesting demonstrations to induce curiosity regarding space among the students. ISRO has provided a list of fascinating events that will take place such as, Spaced out, Can you be an Astronaut, Are you (W)right?, Poster presentation, Build your own Space Habitat, What’s in an Astronaut’s bag? Where science meets fun.

The events will be interactive and students can get a chance to show their imagination with the various mediums. Students will be allowed to participate, compete and interact directly. Activities and workshops like Space Fix, Controlled Navigation, and Response in Space will be conducted to energize their minds.

Students will also be able to participate in model-building workshops where they will learn about building aircraft and space habitats. Students interested in becoming future scientists can also participate in Poster presentation activities and win exciting prizes. They will learn more about how astronauts prepare themselves for space explorations and what they can carry to space in an interactive questionnaire session.

Live lectures will be provided by scientists, astronauts, and imminent personalities working in the field of space exploration.

However, there are certain rules that the participating schools should abide by. All schools are advised to register from July 9 to July 15. The students must reach the venue at least 30 minutes prior.
