Earlier, we came across numerous reports claiming that Apple would increase the pricing of its iPhones by August 10th 2026, though that didn’t happen. Now, tipster Yogesh Brar has shared a new update suggesting that we may have to wait a little longer for the actual price hike to kick in.
Read more about it below.
Apple iPhone Price Hike in India Could Take Place in September
According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the revised iPhone pricing is now expected to come into effect around September 8th 2026, alongside the expected launch of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series.
The tipster further claims that both the existing and upcoming iPhone models could receive a price hike of around $100 (~Approx. INR 9,500).

In the same post, Yogesh Brar also addressed the previous reports regarding the price hike and stated, “Apple never tips off distributors weeks in advance about a hike; stop falling for leaks.”
We also did a check across Apple India’s online store and other listings, and so far, the current iPhone pricing remains unchanged. For instance, the iPhone 17 is still listed starting at ₹82,900, while the iPhone 17 Pro lineup starts at ₹1,34,900 on Apple’s official India website.
Currently, Japan is the only market where Apple has revised the pricing of its iPhones, where the iPhone 17 reportedly received a price increase of around 10%, while the iPhone 17 Pro saw an increase of around 8.3%. Some claimed it’s because of rising memory costs or component pricing, while others claimed it’s because of the weaker Japanese yen.
So for now, those who are planning to purchase an iPhone can still do so at the existing pricing.
Stay tuned for more updates!
