Delhi police arrested four people associated with multi-crore Chinese loan app and 149 involved in money extortion

The Delhi police arrested four people involved with running a multi-crore Chinese loan application and were also found to be associated with an extortion racket. The DCP Outer North Brijendra Kumar Yadav stated that the accused group was also involved in extorting money from people. Yadav said, “Four people were arrested for running a multi-crore Chinese loan application and were also involved in a racket extorting people pan India in association with Chinese loan app firms.”

Mr. Yadav also added that almost 149 people were suspected to threaten other people within Pan India in order to extort money by sending derogatory, nude, and morphed images. These people were captured and will soon serve notices under u/s 41.1 (a) CrPC which states that suspects are arrested on the basis of reasonable complaints and credible information.

The Delhi police have also seized a total of 141 keypad phones, 10 android phones, 3 laptops, 153 hard discs, and 4 DVRs. The police could capture more than 151 phones filled with pieces of evidence.
