The Shiba Inu is now listed on Robinhood. Crypto
On Tuesday, Robinhood, a popular trading website, announced the addition of four additional cryptocurrencies to its platform. The firm stated:

We’re pleased to announce that customers can now buy and sell four additional cryptocurrencies through Robinhood Crypto: compound (COMP), polygon (MATIC), solana (SOL) and shiba inu (SHIB).

SHIB is now available on the Robinhood app, which is great news for shiba inu fans. Since October of last year, the SHIB community has been pressing Change.org to add the meme coin. As of Tuesday, about 560K signatures had been collected.

“Our crypto clients have frequently requested two things over the past year: the ability to send and receive their tokens, and a greater range of cryptocurrencies,” according to the Robinhood release.

The company also stated that it has rolled out new crypto wallets to over two million consumers, in response to their top request.

Robinhood’s chief brokerage officer, Steve Quirk, said:

We’re excited to add more choices for our customers as we work to make Robinhood the best place to invest in crypto.

“As a safety-first firm, we have a rigorous system in place to help us review assets for listing,” he added, adding that “we are committed to delivering a safe and instructive crypto platform.”

While the new crypto-assets can now be bought and traded, Robinhood notes that “deposit and withdrawal will not be available for these assets immediately, but that feature is coming shortly.”

SHIB is currently trading at $0.00002799 per coin at the time of writing. According to data from Bitcoin.com Markets, it has climbed more than 20% in the last 24 hours and more than 5% in the last seven days.
