Covid19 Vaccination: Children can register on CoWIN App from 1 January

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Saturday that the Covid19 Vaccination for 15-18 years children will start from 3 January 2022. 

Now, Children of 15-18 years will be eligible to register on the Cowin app from January 1 for Covid vaccination said by Dr RS Sharma.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed the nation and declared openly that vaccination against Covid-19 for children between 15-18 years will commence from January 3. This decision is taken by the government amid the concern of the new variant Omicron.

Dr RS Sharma said that they have added a 10th ID card for registration because some students may not have Aadhaar or other identity cards.

Covaxin has indicated that it has an extremely satisfactory immune reaction in kids in prosecutions, Dr NK Arora confessed on Sunday.

Dr Arora told that there are two other objectives of immunizing children. One is that they are very movable, they have to go to the school and colleges and their risk of getting an infection, is prominent. Secondly, many times these kids get infection into their households where aged and those with comorbidities can get infected. Therefore, in perspective of this, the government has concluded to initiate vaccination for kids between 15 to 18 year’s.

Emergency Use Authorization for Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin for successors between 15-18 years of age, Dr Arora announced that during prosecutions vaccine has indicated satisfactory immune response.

Scientifically, when the vaccine is injected, the body starts preparing antibodies against the virus. If the body gets attacked by a virus then it will not create a great impact on the body because the antibodies have been prepared already in the body.

The doses of the vaccination will be the same as of above 18 years old.
