YouTube Premium’s Picture-in-picture feature rolling out to all users globally for free

Just a few days back, it was announced that YouTube Premium’s picture-in-picture (PiP) feature is rolling out to all users globally in the coming months.
YouTube Premium’s PiP feature rolling out for all users globally
This feature allows users to shrink their video into a small player that continues playing even when they leave the YouTube app. Here are the availability details:
- Non-premium viewers: For users in the US, there will be no charge for your PiP experience. For users outside of the US, you now have access to PiP for long-form, non-music content on Android and iOS.
- Premium Lite members: You will continue to be able to use PiP for long-form, non-music content on Android and iOS.
- Premium members: Premium members will continue to enjoy PiP for both music (exclusive to Premium only) and non-music content, creating a fully uninterrupted experience.
How to use the PiP feature?
While a video is playing, simply swipe up (or tap the home button) to exit the app. The video will automatically continue playing in a small player that you can move anywhere on your screen.
If the feature still doesn’t work, it is advised to update your YouTube app settings or your device’s settings.
