WhatsApp tests new photo sticker feature for status updates in latest Android beta

WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will allow users to add sticker photos to their status updates, as revealed in the latest beta version 2.25.3.10 through the Google Play Beta Program. First reported by WABetaInfo, this upcoming enhancement aims to provide users with more creative ways to share their moments.
The new feature builds upon a previous development announced in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.23.21, which introduced prompts through status updates. This latest addition will enable users to include multiple photos in a single status update using a content sticker system, similar to Instagram Stories.
The sticker photos feature will offer various customization options. Users can resize and reposition their photo stickers, and choose from different shapes including square, circular, and star-shaped formats. Additionally, the functionality won’t be limited to just images – users will be able to overlay sticker photos on video status updates as well.
While the feature is currently under development and not yet available, it is expected to be released in a future application update.

- Multiple photo stickers in single status update
- Resizable and movable sticker photos
