Samsung Voice Recorder App: New features with One UI 9

Cloud Transcription

Earlier, Voice Recorder generated transcripts exclusively using on-device AI, while cloud processing was restricted to creating recording summaries.

It is revealed that with One UI 9, users will be able to upload recordings to Samsung’s servers and generate transcripts using cloud-based AI.

Refreshed UI

With One UI 9, playing a recording directly from the recordings list will now display an animated waveform instead of the simple progress bar. The settings page has been cleaned up, with descriptive text moved below each toggle rather than inside the setting cards.

Storage Management for recordings

There is a Manage Storage section inside the app that automatically groups recordings into categories like Large recordings, Short recordings, Old recordings and Spam/scam calls.

Convert recordings to different audio formats

This option appears to allow exporting recordings in different audio formats like MP3 or WAV.
