Instagram users can now share Spotify songs with sound to Stories

Last month, Instagram introduced a new Spotify live music-sharing support to Notes. Yesterday, it was officially announced that it’s finally adding the ability for users to listen to previews of songs that they’ve shared from Spotify to stories.
Earlier, users were allowed to share Spotify songs to their stories, but they would do so without sound, where simply the song link on the streaming platform was provided. That will not be the case anymore. Now, when you post a Spotify song in your story, viewers will be able to listen to a preview of the song right within Instagram.
This new addition to Instagram will make it easier for users to share and discover music without having to leave the app. This will increase engagement on the platform while users can share their stories by adding Spotify music that matches their vibe.
In related news, Instagram is also rolling out new fonts this year for Stories and Reels. Initially, the platform is introducing a limited-time font inspired by singer and songwriter Rosalia’s handwriting. Users can unlock secret symbols hand-drawn by Rosalia when typing in characters such as “:-)”, ***,” and <3.
