Instagram Edits gets new updates: Includes Bilingual captions, template overlay support and more

Last year, a new Instagram video creation and editing app, Edits, was introduced that allowed creators to edit their videos with creative tools and actionable insights directly on their mobile devices.

Recently, Instagram officially announced the rollout of new updates for the Edits app that will allow creators to reach out to their audience in an enhanced manner.

This feature automatically translates your captions into a secondary language that will allow you to connect with a broader audience without language constraints. Available in English, Indonesian, Russian, Portuguese, Gujarati, Spanish, Hindi, Korean, Bengali, German, Italian, Thai, French, Japanese, and Kanada.

Template Overlay support & Lock specific clips

Build richer templates with overlay support and the ability to lock specific clips. When you lock a clip, it stays in place and easily carries over for anyone who reuses your template.

Seasonal Sound Effects

Creators can now bring summer energy to their videos with seasonal sound effects. There are various summer-themed audio options available for video creation.

Creators can now start using these new features on the Edits app to improve their video creation and reach out to more viewers online.
