Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers can use the “Take notes for me” feature in Google Meet on web and mobile devices in select languages (English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish).
“Take notes for me” in Google Meet
This new feature handles note-taking during calls with your permission, allowing you to stay focused on the discussion. With this tool, Gemini works in the background to give you:
- Real-time capturing: Gemini transcribes the conversation and creates a meeting summary with key action items.
- Seamless saving: Your notes are automatically saved to a Google Doc in your Google Drive.
- Instant recaps: After the meeting, you will get an email with the summary and action items.
If you are a Google AI Pro/ Ultra subscriber or an eligible Workspace business customer, you can also use the tool for meetings you host, like:
- During a call: Click the pencil icon at the top of your Meet window to start note-taking.
- For all calls: Enable the feature under Meeting records in your Google Meet Settings.
All meeting participants will be notified when the feature is enabled. Do note that this feature supports one language at a time; multiple languages spoken in the same meeting aren’t currently supported.
