Yesterday, Google announced that version 5.07 of the Google Health app is rolling out, and the rollout will continue over the next week in phases depending on carrier and device.
Google Health App 5.07 update
The update is being rolled out for both Android and iOS users.
What’s new?
Activity and Fitness updates
- Improved Manual Workout Logging: First, you can now add and adjust more metrics when logging an exercise manually. Your edits will also show up in the workout summaries more quickly once you’ve made them. And finally, you can now log more metrics when switching from a pool to open swim exercise.
- Maps: The maps experience is improved with faster loading times and smoother rendering and adjustments. An issue where maps were occasionally missing when using your phone to track a running, biking or walking session is also fixed.
- Running Distance Totals: Trail runs and incline runs now count toward your Running Distance totals.
Weight Tracking Updates
- Weight Graph: Google has recalibrated the graph’s dynamic minimum and maximum range so your weight trends and changes are easier to view at a glance.
Health Connect Updates
- An issue that caused some Android users to lose their connection with Health Connect is fixed. If you were impacted, you will now see Health Connect listed in the Partner Apps section of the Connections screen.
