Earlier, the X app for iOS users received more praise online than the Android version, as it was said to be smoother, with more features, and more. It was said that the Android app would be rebuilt to provide a better user experience.
After a long wait, yesterday the company relaunched the rebuilt Android app. It is said that the new version is built from scratch and is said to be faster, smoother and more reliable than the old version.

The company promises improvements to loading, scrolling, notifications and more. X head of product, Nikita Bier, mentioned that this overhaul was one of the largest engineering projects in the company’s history.

It is revealed that features like Cashtags and Custom Timelines are already live, while React with Video, Video Editor and Spaces will be coming soon to the app.
Currently, the new X features arrive on iOS first, and then they are later released for Android, but as per Bier, “Going forward, many things will hit Android first.”
Android users are warned that there are still some rough edges and the company is still hustling to get features out, like hosting Spaces and improving performance on older devices.
The new version of the Android app is available to download via the Google Play Store, and Android users can download it to get the experience of this rebuilt app.
