Swarail App now available for download on both Android and iOS

A few months back, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) introduced the Swarail app- a new all-in-one railway app developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS). This comprehensive app consolidates all public-facing services within a single user-friendly platform. The app can be used for train ticket booking, checking PNR status, live train tracking, and many more.

Swarail app is now available for download on both Android and iOS, though currently, the app is in beta. Users can log in using their existing IRCTC Rail Connect accounts or create a new one. Swarail app integrates various railway services, eliminating the need for multiple applications and reducing space consumption on user devices. For example, reserved ticket bookings, unreserved ticket and platform ticket bookings, parcel and freight enquiries, train and PNR status enquiries, food orders on trains, and Rail Madad for complaint management.

The app allows users to onboard using their existing RailConnect or UTS on Mobile credentials. Once registered, the same credentials apply across these platforms. On the first login, an R Wallet is created for every user to facilitate ticket bookings. Existing R-Wallets from the UTS on the Mobile App are automatically linked.

Swarail app is said to have a pretty modern interface that makes it easier for users to avail the services they want without having to go through several clicks.
