Google officially introduces Search Live with voice input in Google app for Android and iOS users in US
Most of us reach out to Google whenever it comes to searching for a particular thing, question, or place, etc. The company has now introduced a new way to search with your voice in AI Mode to enhance the user experience.

Search Live with voice input is introduced in the Google app for Android and iOS. It is available in the U.S. for users enrolled in the AI Mode experiment in Labs.
Search Live with voice input
With this feature, you can now have a free-flowing, back-and-forth voice conversation with Search and explore links from across the web. You can simply ask your question and you will hear an AI-generated audio response, you can also easily follow up with another question, and you can find easy-to-access links right on your screen.
Search Live also works in the background, so users can seamlessly continue the conversation while using another app. Search Live in AI mode uses a custom version of Gemini with advanced voice capabilities. It is said that with this feature, you can get reliable and helpful responses. This feature uses Google’s query fan-out technology to show you a wider and more diverse set of helpful web content, enabling new opportunities for exploration.
To explore more, you can tap the transcript button to view the text response and continue to ask questions by typing. To revisit a Search Live response, you can head to AI Mode history and pick up from where you left.
How to access Search Live?
When you opt into the AI Mode experiment in Labs, you can access Search Live with a new icon under your search bar. Tap the new Live icon and ask your question verbally.
Google has mentioned bringing even more Live Capabilities to AI mode in the coming months, including using your camera when you talk back and forth so you can show Search what you are seeing in real time.
