In the recent April Workspace feature drop, Google has released some new AI features for Gemini, Chat, Gmail, and Slides in order to enhance the productivity of users. Among the new features introduced, there is the Audio Overview feature introduced in the Gemini app.

Audio overview feature available on the Gemini app
What if you get to listen to a document or a report just like a podcast, especially when you don’t have enough time to go through it? This is exactly what the Audio overview feature is all about. Users can simply select “Create Audio Overview” in the Gemini app after uploading documents or slides, or generate one directly from inside a Deep Research report you create with Gemini.
Your uploaded document will be transformed into engaging podcast-style conversations to provide new insights on content and make it easier to go through the content while multitasking. This new feature enhances learning in a fun and productive way.
In related news, Google has also revealed that users can now access Gemini 2.5 Pro and the ability to upload files directly from their mobile device, getting even more powerful assistance and insights, wherever they work.
