Anthropic announces Integrations to connect apps to Claude and expands Claude’s Research capabilities; Claude Code now included in Claude Max subscription
Yesterday, Anthropic officially announced a new way to connect your apps and tools to Claude- Integration, while the company has also expanded Claude’s Research capabilities with an advanced mode.

Integrations & Advanced Research
Integration
With Integrations, Claude can work seamlessly with remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers across web and desktop apps. Developers can build and host servers that enhance Claude’s capabilities, while users can discover and connect any number of these to Claude. Connecting your tools to Claude gains deep context about your work and can take action across every surface.
You can choose from Integrations for 10 popular services, including Atlassian’s Jira and Confluence, Zapier, Cloudflare, Intercom, Asana, Square, Sentry, PayPal, Linear, and Plaid, with more to follow from companies like Stripe and GitLab.
Zapier, for example, connects thousands of apps through pre-built workflows, automating processes across your software stack. With access to Atlassian’s Jira and Confluence, Claude can collaborate with you on building new products, managing tasks more effectively, and scaling your work. With Intercom, you can respond faster to user feedback.
Advanced research
Claude can now conduct deeper investigations across hundreds of internal and external sources, delivering more comprehensive reports in 5-45 minutes. Research capabilities with an advanced mode search the web, Google Workspace, and Integrations, too. When Claude incorporates information from sources, it provides clear citations that link directly to the original material.
Integrations and advanced research are now in beta on the Max, Team, and Enterprise plans and will soon be available on Pro. Meanwhile, Web search is now globally available to all Claude.ai paid plans.
Apart from these new upgrades, there is also a new feature for Claude users: Claude Code is now included in the Claude Max subscription.
Claude Code is now available with a Claude Max subscription
Claude Code is a command-line tool that gives you access to Claude models directly in your terminal, allowing you to delegate complex coding tasks while maintaining transparency and control. With the Max plan, you now have access to both Claude in the web, desktop, and mobile apps and Claude Code in your terminal with one unified subscription.
On the Max plan (5x Pro/ $100), you can complete 10-20 coding tasks every 5 hours, while on the Max plan (20x Pro/ $200), you can expect to complete 40-80 coding tasks every 5 hours.
To start using Claude Code with your Max plan:
- Ensure you have an active Max plan subscription
- Install Claude code
- Authenticate with your Claude credentials (for your Max plan)
Claude Code is still available through the Anthropic console, so you can choose your preferred way to use it: through the Console or with Claude Max.
