Microsoft integrates Steam games to its Xbox PC app on Windows for Xbox Insiders

Yesterday, via a new blog post, Microsoft announced its Xbox June 2025 update, in which it was revealed that starting this week, Xbox Insiders enrolled in the PC Gaming Preview can get a first look at the new aggregated gaming library in the Xbox app for Windows 11 PCs and handheld devices.

With this library, players can conveniently launch games from leading PC storefronts from a single library within the Xbox PC app. Reportedly, Xbox Insiders will now be able to see their Steam and Battle.net games all within the Xbox app, making it a single launcher for most installed PC games.

This new aggregated gaming library will roll out to the Xbox app later this year, as well as new devices like the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds. This update simplifies game discovery and access for users, which means players will no longer need to jump between different launchers to find and play their titles.

Microsoft aims to strengthen the Xbox PC app as a central hub for gaming, which will make managing game collections easy for PC games with support for Steam and other popular platforms.
