A browser-based version of GTA Vice City is available on quenq.com/apps/vice-city, enabling full gameplay without any downloads or installation via WebAssembly technology. You can play the game either on your mobile or desktop.
This technical port is built on the revcDOS codebase, which utilises the reverse-engineered reVC engine. This browser-based version requires no downloads and no installation because assets stream dynamically as you play. It is a complete, self-contained experience that preserves every mission from the original 2002 release.
Key features:
- You can upload your existing .b save files from a PC or PS2 to resume your progress. You can also download backups to keep your virtual progress safe.
- There are no large initial downloads. The WebAssembly engine loads in seconds and streams the map as you drive.
- Play with a standard keyboard and mouse on a desktop or use integrated touch controls on mobile devices.
