Sony Alpha 7R VI officially introduced in India; Will be available from 3rd July

Today, Sony India has introduced its latest Sony Alpha 7R VI full-frame mirrorless camera, which arrives with advanced imaging quality refined by feedback from discerning creators. Along with this camera, the company has also unveiled new accessories.

Sony Alpha 7R VI & New Accessories: Features

The camera features a 66.8MP fully stacked Exmos RS image sensor delivering enhanced imaging quality with readout speeds up to 5.6x faster. It enables blackout-free continuous shooting at up to approximately 30fps with full AF/AE, 4K 60p without cropping, expanded dynamic range, and reliable low-light AF.

Up to 60 AF/AE calculations per second effortlessly track even complex subject movement. With the upgraded BIONZ XR2 processing engine and CFexpress Type A card support, capture up to 215 JPG and 65 compressed (HQ) RAW images continuously. The BIONZ XR2 engine with an integrated AI processing unit delivers dramatic improvements in image and sound quality, power management and responsiveness.

Shadow noise is minimised in high-dynamic range landscapes, and portraits are captured with realistic skin tones. Up to 16 stops of dynamic range at low sensitivities support HDR processing. Noise in night scenes is also reduced. The Visible Light+ IR Sensor achieves stable, accurate auto white balance under any lighting.

The updated D-Range Optimiser (DRO) balances bright highlights and dark shadows and offers a wider range of strength settings, up to Lv8. It offers up to 8.5-step central and 7.0-step peripheral stabilisation.

  • Pre-capture key moments before shutter release
