Redmi Watch 6 with 2.07-inch AMOLED display and 550mAh battery offering up to 24 days of life launched in China
Xiaomi’s sub-brand has launched a series of new gadgets in its home market, China. Among them, the Redmi Watch 6 has been introduced as the successor to the Redmi Watch 5. The previous model was offered in two versions, a standard variant and an eSIM variant, but with the Redmi Watch 6, Redmi has chosen to drop the eSIM option.

Redmi Watch 6 Specs and Features
It comes with a 2.07-inch AMOLED display offering 2mm ultra-narrow bezels, 2000 nits peak brightness, 60Hz refresh rate, 324 PPI pixel density, and an 82% screen-to-body ratio. The screen supports full touch controls and features 2.5D slightly curved glass. It also includes dual-button controls and a rotating crown for easier navigation.
The Redmi Watch 6 features a 9.9mm slim aluminium alloy frame with a stainless steel crown and a fibre-reinforced polymer back cover. It supports custom AI-generated watch faces and comes with a quick-release strap design, allowing users to easily switch bands. The watch weighs 31 grams without the strap and fits wrist sizes ranging from 135mm to 205mm.
Just like its predecessor, the Redmi Watch 6 also has a 550mAh lithium-ion polymer battery that supports magnetic charging. Redmi claims up to 24 days of battery life in power-saving mode, around 12 days with typical use, and about 7 days with the Always-on Display enabled. It also includes a linear vibration motor with over 20 haptic feedback patterns and supports quick replies for WeChat.
It comes equipped with multiple sensors, including an accelerometer, gyroscope, optical heart rate and blood oxygen sensor, ambient light sensor, and geomagnetic sensor. And also has a 5ATM water resistance rating (up to 50 metres), making it suitable for swimming and shallow-water activities, though not for saunas, hot showers, or diving.
Connectivity options include GNSS with support for Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS, along with Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC for payments and transit cards.
In terms of health and fitness tracking, it offers heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen (SpO₂) tracking, sleep monitoring, stress tracking, female health tracking, and breathing exercises. It supports over 150 sports modes, automatic exercise detection, GPS route tracking, and activity reminders for movement and energy goals.
The Redmi Watch 6 runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3, enabling cross-device connectivity with other Xiaomi devices and smart home products. It supports Android 8.0 or iOS 14.0 and above, paired via the Xiaomi Wear (Mi Fitness) app, and offers system language options in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and English.

The Redmi Watch 6 is available for purchase through the official Redmi China website, priced at 599 Chinese Yuan (approximately INR 7,380). It comes in three colour options: Misty Blue, Elegant White, and Obsidian Black.
