Following the launch of the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max, it was expected that the remaining models in the Xiaomi Pad 9 series might also launch soon. Well, the brand has now officially unveiled the Xiaomi Pad 9 and Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro tablets in its home market of China.
Here’s more about the two newly launched tablets.
Xiaomi Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro – Specifications
The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro features a 12.5″ display screen with a 3.2K resolution, 144Hz adaptive refresh rate, and up to 1000 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5T RAM clocked at 9600Mbps on the 12GB and 16GB variants, while the 8GB variant uses LPDDR5X RAM clocked at 8533Mbps. It offers UFS 4.1 storage, except for the 128GB variant, which comes with UFS 3.1 storage.
On the battery side, the Pad 9 Pro packs an 11,000mAh battery backup with support for 67W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging. It is claimed to deliver up to 14.5 hours of short-video playback and up to 20 hours of online meetings. The tablet also features six speakers, four microphones, and a 5.8mm slim body.
Coming to the Xiaomi Pad 9, it features a smaller 11.2″ display with the same 3.2K resolution, 144Hz adaptive refresh rate, and up to 1000 nits of peak brightness. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, coupled with LPDDR5T RAM clocked at 9600Mbps on the 12GB variant and LPDDR5X RAM clocked at 8533Mbps on the 8GB variant. UFS 4.1 storage is offered on the 8GB variant of the tablet, while the 128GB variant uses UFS 3.1 storage.

The standard model is backed by a 9720mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging. It also offers up to 14.5 hours of short-video playback and up to 20 hours of online meetings. Four speakers, four microphones, and a 5.75mm slim body are among its other notable features.
Speaking more, both tablets run on Xiaomi HyperOS 4 and support PC-class productivity applications, including WPS for Pad, Jianying Pro, PixelCake, ZWCAD, and CAJ Reader. They also feature the Super XiaoAI 2.0 ecosystem-wide AI assistant, with AI tools for creating presentations, webpages, and videos, along with cross-device task execution and file transfers. Xiaomi has further stated that some of these AI features will be made available through an OTA update by the end of September.
Both models also support the Xiaomi Focus Stylus Pro. Regarding the colour options, the Xiaomi Pad 9 comes in Silver, Cloud Cedar Green, Black, and Ice Peach Pink, while the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro is offered in Silver, Cloud Cedar Green, and Black.
Pricing and Availability
In terms of pricing, the Xiaomi Pad 9 is priced at CNY 2,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant, CNY 3,299 for the 8GB/256GB variant, and CNY 3,799 for the 12GB/256GB variant. Its Soft-Light Edition is launched in a single 8GB/256GB memory option carrying a price tag of CNY 3,499, and is going to be available in a single Silver colour option.
The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro starts at CNY 3,799 for the 8GB/128GB variant, while its 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 16GB/256GB variants are priced at CNY 4,099, CNY 4,599, and CNY 4,999, respectively. The 12GB/256GB Soft-Light Edition, shown in Black, is priced at CNY 4,799.
Pre-sales for both tablets in China have already begun starting today.
