Xiaomi has now revealed its plans to launch the Xiaomi 18 Pro smartphone in the Indian market, marking a change from last year, where brand kept its Xiaomi 17 Pro models, which also featured rear secondary displays, exclusive to its home market of China.

Xiaomi 18 Pro India launch teased
According to a post shared by Xiaomi India on X, the Xiaomi 18 Pro is coming soon to the country. The poster also shows the smartphone in a blue colour option. Notably, while Xiaomi will be bringing the Pro Max variant to global markets too, the Indian teaser only mentions the Xiaomi 18 Pro, without the “series” branding. The Pro Max model’s arrival in India therefore remains unconfirmed.
To recall, only the standard Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra were introduced in the Indian market this year in March. With the Xiaomi 18 Pro now heading to India, customers in the country will also be able to get the brand’s rear secondary display feature.
Speaking of its specs, the Indian and global variants are expected to offer a similar specifications sheet to the Chinese model. However, it remains to be seen whether Xiaomi will retain the same battery capacity or reduce it for these markets.
Previously, tipster Abhishek Yadav claimed the Xiaomi 18 Pro series could launch in India in December 2026, but the brand’s teaser names only the Xiaomi 18 Pro; therefore, it remains uncertain whether the Pro Max variant will launch in India.
More details about the launch dates and availability of the respective models in the global and Indian markets are expected to be revealed by the brand soon.
