Just yesterday, Xiaomi confirmed several key specifications of its upcoming Xiaomi 18 Fold, including the new-generation Keel Hinge, dual-layer UTG protection, a 6,000mAh battery, and the in-house XRING O3 chipset. Adding to the previously revealed details, the brand has now shared more information about the foldable smartphone’s display.
Moreover, Xiaomi has confirmed that the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max will break its cover on September 7th, 2026.

Xiaomi 18 Fold – Display and Imaging Details
The Xiaomi 18 Fold will feature a new ‘Super Pixel’ display, with the brand claiming that its inner and outer screens will offer matching display quality, as the panels will make use of a full RGB subpixel arrangement, which is said to deliver clearer and sharper visuals.
Both displays are also confirmed to offer up to 4,000 nits of peak brightness.
Coming to the inner display, the foldable smartphone will feature a new √2:1 aspect ratio. Xiaomi claims that the new aspect ratio has been optimised for the efficient usage of applications while providing improved large-screen content presentation and convenient touch controls.
The upcoming foldable smartphone will also feature an imaging system co-developed with Leica.
As previously confirmed, the device will be powered by Xiaomi’s in-house XRING O3 flagship processor and will pack a 6,000mAh Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery with support for 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max – Launch Date and Confirmed Details
The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max will make its debut during Xiaomi’s Autumn Flagship Product Event on September 7th, 2026, at 7 PM China time. The upcoming tablet carries the tagline ‘Powerful from the Core’.
As revealed through the official teaser, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max will feature a large 13.3″ display surrounded by ultra-narrow bezels and will run on HyperOS 4, which has been specifically optimised for large-screen productivity, and will also support a stylus.

The tablet has been showcased in a burgundy colour option alongside a matching keyboard and stylus.
Speaking of its performance, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max was also recently spotted on the Geekbench database with Xiaomi’s in-house XRING O3 chipset, which the brand had previously confirmed for the device.
With the launch event scheduled for September 7th, Xiaomi is expected to reveal more details about both devices over the coming days.
