Xiaomi 17T With 6500mAh Battery, 67W Wired HyperCharge, and 60% Buyback Value Promise Launched in India

Following its launch in the global markets, Xiaomi has now unveiled the vanilla Xiaomi 17T model from its latest 17T series in the Indian market. Also in the news today is the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+, which has also been launched with a similar Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset, but it includes the Extreme suffix.

Xiaomi 17T – Specs and Features

The Xiaomi 17T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset, which is based on a 4nm process and comes coupled with the Mali-G720 MC8 GPU and NPU 880. Adding more to this, the device is offered with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

Speaking about its design, the smartphone has a thickness of 8.17 mm and weighs 200 grams. A 6.57″ AMOLED display with 1.5K (2756 x 1268 pixels) resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, up to 480Hz touch sampling rate, and 3200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate in Game Turbo Mode is given. The display also supports 2000 nits and 3500 nits brightness levels, 3840Hz PWM dimming, DC Dimming, Wet Touch Technology 2.0, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

The Xiaomi 17T also comes with Xiaomi Vision Care with TÜV Rheinland Quadruple Certification. It has received TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light (Hardware Solution), Flicker Free, Circadian, and Intelligent Eye Care certifications as well.

For its cameras, the device has been given a Leica Summilux optical lens setup, and the rear camera system includes a 50MP OIS Leica main camera with 23mm focal length and a 12MP Leica ultra-wide camera with 15mm focal length and 120-degree field of view. Camera features include two Leica photographic styles, Leica filters, Leica classic shutter sound, Leica watermark, motion tracking focus, motion capture, Lightning Burst, digital zoom up to 120x with AI Ultra Zoom, HDR, Live Moment, auto scene detection, portrait mode, master-lens system, 50MP mode, super macro, panorama, long exposure, documents, Fastshot, Pro mode, and RAW support in Pro mode.

The rear camera supports 4K HDR10+ video recording at 30fps and 60fps, 1080p HDR10+ video recording at 30fps and 60fps, 720p video recording at 30fps, Log video recording up to 4K at 30fps and 60fps, slow motion video recording up to 1080p at 960fps, time-lapse video recording up to 4K at 30fps, and night video recording up to 4K at 24fps. ShootSteady, Pro mode, LUT parameters, auto scene detection, and a 3-mic array are also part of the camera package.

For selfies, the smartphone features a 32MP front camera with 21mm equivalent focal length and f/2.2 aperture. It supports HDR, Live Moment, portrait mode, palm shutter, voice shutter, selfie timer, fill light, 4K HDR10+ video recording at 30fps, 1080p video recording at up to 60fps, slow motion video recording up to 1080p at 120fps, time-lapse video recording up to 4K at 30fps, dual video, Dolby Vision video recording, and video teleprompter.

Just like the Motorola’s Edge 70 Pro+ is backed by a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery, and it supports 67W wired HyperCharge. The device is also compatible with up to 50W PPS charging, while 22.5W wired reverse charging support has also been given. A USB Type-C port is used for charging, and the handset also comes equipped with the Xiaomi 3D IceLoop cooling system.

On the software side, the smartphone runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Xiaomi HyperAI features such as AI Writing, AI Speech Recognition, AI Interpreter, AI Search, AI Dynamic Wallpapers, AI Creativity Assistant, and more are supported. Circle to Search with Google and Google Gemini are also available, depending on region, language, device model, compatible apps, and internet availability.

Other key specs include an in-screen fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 6E, 2×2 MIMO, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, GPS L1 + L5, GLONASS G1, Beidou B1I + B1C + B2a, Galileo, NavIC L5, A-GPS supplementary positioning, wireless network, and data network-based positioning. The device also packs a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, electronic compass, IR blaster, flicker sensor, X-axis linear vibration motor, colour temperature sensor, and NFC.

Coming to its pricing and availability details, the Xiaomi 17T has been launched in two memory configurations in India and will be available via Amazon India, Xiaomi India and other major retailers starting June 10th. The 12GB/256GB variant is priced at INR 59,999, whereas the 12GB/512GB variant carries a price tag of INR 64,999. Violet, Blue and Black are the three colour choices offered for the device.

As part of the launch offers, buyers can get an INR 5,000 instant bank (HDFC Bank, SBI Card, Axis Bank, Kotak, and Bank of Baroda) discount with credit card and credit card EMI transactions, or an INR 5,000 exchange bonus. Xiaomi is also offering an assured 60% buyback value within one year of purchase.

Additional benefits include four-month access to Spotify Premium Standard, three-month access to YouTube Premium, three-month access to Google AI Pro, and free three-month JioHotstar access along with 500GB cloud storage with Pro Google Gemini.
