Xiaomi 15S Pro and Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra will be the first to be equipped with XRING O1 processor
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi yesterday officially announced that its 15th Anniversary Strategic New Product Launch event will be held on 22nd May at 7 PM local time. This upcoming event will mark the debut of the XRING O1 flagship chip, 15s Pro smartphone, Pad 7 Ultra tablet, and YU7 SUV.
As expected, the brand has already started teasing the features of its upcoming devices via the Weibo platform.
Xiaomi 15S Pro & Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra: Equipped with XRING O1
Xiaomi 15S Pro will be the first smartphone to be equipped with the XRING O1 3nm flagship processor, while the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra will also be the first tablet that arrive with this all-new processor.
As earlier revealed, the XRING O1 chip has been developed and designed independently by Xiaomi itself and has been made using the 2nd generation 3nm process technology (not 5nm as earlier mentioned). A total of 19 billion transistors have been used in it, and the development process took 4 years.
In related news, Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro will also be making its debut this month in China, though the launch date is not yet announced. Pre-bookings for this device have already started in the country, while the brand has also teased various features of this upcoming smartphone.
