vivo Y37c with 6.74-inch Display, Unisoc T7225 SOC, 5500mAh Battery Launched in China for 749 Yuan

Vivo has launched another budget smartphone in its home country, China, under its Y series called the Y37c 4G. This is the fourth addition to the Y37 lineup, which already includes the Y37, Y37m, and Y37 Pro. However, unlike its siblings, the Y37c is a 4G smartphone, whereas the others support 5G.

Features and Specs

It features a 6.74-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 90.4% screen-to-body ratio. It supports a 60Hz refresh rate and a 120Hz touch sampling rate, aiming to deliver a smooth experience for everyday tasks.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Unisoc T7225 octa-core processor built on a 12nm process, paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage. Users should note that part of the storage and memory is occupied by the system and pre-installed apps. The device runs OriginOS 14, based on Android 14.

It sports a 13MP primary rear camera assisted by an auxiliary 80,000-pixel light-sensing unit. For selfies, there is a 5MP front camera. Both cameras support up to 1080p video recording, and camera features include night mode, portrait mode, and professional mode, among others.

Battery life is a highlight, with the vivo Y37c packing a 5500mAh single-cell battery, supporting 15W wired charging through a Type-C port. The smartphone also offers OTG reverse charging capability, adding extra convenience for users.

Other features include Bluetooth 5.2, dual SIM support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and essential sensors like a gravity sensor, light sensor, proximity sensor, and an electronic compass. For security, the device provides Face Wake facial recognition and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Pricing and Availability

The vivo Y37c is priced at 749 Chinese yuan for the 6GB + 128GB variant. It is now available for purchase in China.
