Earlier today, we covered the alleged hands-on images of the upcoming Vivo V80 smartphone that were shared on the social media platform X. Now, Vivo has officially announced that the device will launch in India on 6th October 2026.
The smartphone’s microsites were already live on the Vivo India website, Amazon India and Flipkart. These pages have now been updated with several of its key specifications, camera features and colour options.

Vivo V80 – India Launch Date and Revealed Specifications
As per the details shared through the microsites, the Vivo V80 will feature a 6.59″ OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, up to a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 5,000 nits of local peak brightness and 1.07 billion colours, while its bezels measure 1.25mm.
The smartphone will also support 1-nit ultra-low brightness for eye protection, along with Night-time Eye Protection and Paper-Like Display modes.
For photography, the Vivo V80 will feature a Zeiss-branded triple rear-camera setup consisting of a 50MP Zeiss OIS primary camera, a 50MP Zeiss Night Telephoto camera and a Zeiss ultra-wide-angle camera. At the front, the smartphone will sport a 50MP Zeiss Group Selfie camera.
Among its camera features, the Colour Palette option will allow users to apply customised colour styles to photographs. An AI Creative Camera with AI Lighting effects will also be available, featuring Spotlight, Sunlight and Underwater lighting modes.
Live Sticker Collage will allow users to create cover-style compositions using photographs, while AI Diwali Portrait 2.0 will add festive lighting and effects to portrait images.
On the battery side, the smartphone will pack a 7,200mAh battery with 90W FlashCharge support. Vivo claims is the largest battery used in its V series so far.
The Vivo V80 is further revealed to run on OriginOS 7 and will include Wiggle Theme, while StickIt will allow users to turn photographs into custom stickers for the lock and home screens. Snap Notes will also be available for capturing and organising information.
Vivo will provide up to six years of security updates for the smartphone. Buyers will also receive a six-month Google One Standard plan with 100GB of cloud storage.
Speaking of its design, the Vivo V80 will feature a flat frame with rounded corners. A large rectangular camera island with rounded edges can be seen at the rear, while Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue and Stellar Black colour options will be available for the device.
Speaking more, the design and specifications revealed through the microsites appear similar to those of the Vivo S60 series, which was launched earlier in China. This further suggests that the Vivo V80 could arrive as a rebranded or modified version of one of the devices from the series.
However, Vivo has not yet confirmed the chipset details of the upcoming smartphone. Therefore, it is currently unclear whether the Vivo V80 will be a complete rebrand. Additionally, neither the Vivo S60 nor the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition featured Zeiss branding, while the Vivo V80 is revealed to come with a Zeiss-branded camera system. Therefore, some differences between the devices are expected.
